In 1922, in the business section of Brooklyn, Dominic Liantonio founded the Flatbush Moving Van Company. In 1947 Dominic was joined by his two sons, John and Joseph, returning from World War II. The Flatbush Moving Van Company flourished during the post-war boom years and expanded to become an interstate carrier handling household and commercial moving coast to coast. In 1980, John Liantonio, Jr. joined the firm and has concentrated his efforts on expanding strong commercial base of business and the growing international market.

Originally operating with a single panel van, the Flatbush Moving Van Company today boasts a fleet of modern streamlined lift-gate vans, and an impressive network of modern storage facilities. After more than 60 years, the bright red and white trucks have become landmark symbols in the New York area.
